Volleyball WA is calling for Expressions of Interest for WA Indoor State Team Coaches for the 2024 Australian Youth Volleyball Championships.

Travelling teams will be selected in the U15, U16, U17 and U18 age groups, and a Non-Travelling Development Squad in the U14 age group will be provided with the opportunity to train throughout the preparation phase (pending trial nominations).

The event (including travel days) will be held from 14th – 20th September in Bendigo, VIC.

A Preseason Program will commence prior to the State Team Trials on Mondays and Thursdays from 29th April – 23rd May.

State Team Trials will be held on Saturday 25th and Monday 27th May.

Training Days will be on Monday evenings, with Wednesday evenings added from August.

All State Team Coaching positions are voluntary with an honorarium provided following the event. All costs will be covered in relation to flights, accommodation, ground transport, meals, and uniforms. Preseason Coaches will also receive a separate honorarium at the conclusion of the Preseason Program.

All coaches working with the VWA Indoor State Teams will be required to work in support of the ongoing work being undertaken by the VWA High Performance Working Group and the VWA Board in regards to development and implementation of the Australian Volleyball High Performance / Talent Identification pathway model – FTEM (Fundamentals, Talent, Elite, Mastery).

The Minimum Coach Accreditation for the VWA State Team Program is Level 2.
