Level 3 and Level 4 officials are considered national referees and are approved by Volleyball Australia’s Referee Committee (VARC) twice per year. Starting at the Level 3, the accreditation becomes discipline specific with a separation of Indoor and Beach Volleyball Referee Accreditations.
A referee can be nominated by their State Volleyball Association, VARC, or themselves to obtain either the Level 3 or Level 4 accreditation. In all cases, the nomination must be accompanied by several letters of recommendation and a letter of endorsement from the relevant State Association.
Officials must demonstrate competency in both theory and practice and need to provide sufficient evidence of their recognition and experience to VARC in order to be considered for an upgrade.
The following table indicates which process you need to do to ensure that your accreditation remains valid.
You can check the status of your accreditation via the VWA Member Portal or VA's Accreditation Portal.
