Spiking Mental Wellness: Volleyball WA Joins Forces with Act Belong Commit

Volleyball WA is now a proud partner of Act Belong Commit, WA’s longest running mental health promotion campaign, encouraging people to prioritise mental wellbeing and helping organisations provide opportunities for people to take action to be mentally healthy.

Act Belong Commit Partnerships Coordinator, Rodney Glossop, expressed his excitement for the partnerships with the following statement: ‘Having worked in sport and events for over 25 years, I know the impact sport plays in enriching people’s lives and I look forward to supporting Volleyball WA in its pursuit to motivate and inspire people to take action to improve and maintain their mental wellbeing through being active, connecting with the community, and setting individual and team goals and challenges. All fundamental elements of the Act Belong Commit campaign.’

Being mentally healthy is essential for overall wellbeing. Good mental health is more than just the absence of mental illness. It’s about being able to deal with life’s challenges, maintain relationships, contribute to the community, and take pleasure and satisfaction from life.

The health and well-being of our community has always been a top priority for Volleyball WA, and this partnership will enable us to continue fostering participation in both our sport and in the broader aspects of life.
