2024 Volleyball WA Clubs Conference Wrap Up

On Saturday, May 18th, Volleyball WA hosted its 2024 Clubs Conference, bringing together 48 passionate individuals from our affiliated clubs and associations. Representatives from 18 clubs and associations attended, including six regional associations, one of which participated online, demonstrating the widespread commitment to volleyball across Western Australia.

The day kicked off with an engaging round table activity, where club and association representatives had the opportunity to interact directly with Volleyball WA Managers and Board Members. Through the Start, Stop, Keep activity, attendees provided valuable feedback on the VWA 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, sharing their insights on what should be initiated, halted, or maintained to drive the sport forward.

The afternoon session featured a lineup of esteemed guest speakers. Caitlin Spencer and Abbey Grosse from Sport West delivered insightful presentations on True Sport’s Child Safeguarding and Mental Health Initiatives. Matt Hort offered crucial information on Occupational Health & Safety, while Jake Van Galen introduced the Outside the Locker Room initiative, highlighting the significance of mental health awareness in sports.

The Club’s Conference is more than just a meeting—it’s a vital opportunity for the WA volleyball community to come together, network, share ideas, and learn from each other. The discussions and presentations equipped them with new strategies and knowledge to bring back to their clubs and associations.

Thank you to our presenters, who did a fantastic job sharing their expertise. Your contributions are what make events like this possible and successful.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year. Together, we are shaping the future of volleyball in Western Australia!
