The Fortix Corporate Cup is back in 2020 for its second straight year, with six teams set to battle it out at Yagan Square during Mental Health Week.
The Fortix Corporate Cup is being held during Mental Health Week to encourage and promote the healthy balance between work and play. Set for Friday the 16th of October, the event aims to champion the 2020 Mental Health Week theme of “Strengthening Our Community – Live, Learn, Work, Play”.
Six teams will compete in the two hour competition, with three of those teams returning from the 2019 competition.
- Healthway, Tank Stream Labs and Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) are back for their second year in a row.
- SpeedFit, who won the first ever Fortix Corporate Cup in 2015, will be returning to the court after a five-year hiatus.
- Scotford Fennessy and Corrs Chambers Westgarth will be making their debut.
Volleyball WA CEO Robyn Kuhl said she ‘was excited to once again host the event as part of Mental Health Week’ and look forward to seeing the teams battle it out.
‘We are thrilled to have such a diverse group of Perth businesses and organisations taking part in the Fortix Corporate Cup. It’s great to see companies taking part in Mental Health Week and getting their employees active.’ Kuhl added.
Fortix CEO Paul Faix expressed his excitement ‘to see corporate teams competing for the exclusive Fortix Corporate Cup 2020.’
‘We are privileged to be able to have this event despite the global pandemic. Fortix Cup forms part of the 2020 Mental Health Week. We hope to raise awareness for mental issues in our society.
