Volleyball WA recently ran its annual Club Conference, an opportunity for the organisation to bring our clubs and associations together to share and exchange ideas on how we can collaborate to grow our wonderful sport.

This year we have been busy developing our next Strategic Plan for the period 2022-2026. Clubs Conference provided an excellent opportunity to access the collective thoughts of our community to assist us in this task and we look forward to their continued input in this process during the year.

We provided some upskilling opportunities in marketing as well as insight into the benefits for clubs being involved in the SportAus Game Plan Program and providing junior and kids volleyball programs.

Our guest speaker this year was Jodi Mills, Club Administrator at the Claremont Women’s Football Club who provided a case study for the benefit of having a paid Club / Association administrator and the cost benefits. This presentation sparked plenty of discussion and food for thought for many of our clubs which operate with volunteers in key roles.

Our next big event for our community to come together is the Annual Awards Night scheduled for October, 23.
