VOLLEYBALL WA HITS THE ROAD TO THE MID WEST

Over the next two weeks, Volleyball WA will be traveling through the Mid West region bringing Volleyball to regional communities from Dongara to Northampton and east to Morawa. This is thanks to an Active Regional Communities Grant received from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to do Volleyball development in the Mid West region.

We will be in the region for 8 days running several school and community clinics with support from the Geraldton Beach Volleyball Club. We will also offer a Teacher PD session so coaching and training can continue in schools long after we have left the region.

In addition, people can sign up for our Indoor Community Clinic for Juniors and Adults which is happening Wednesday, May 26 at the Irwin Recreation Centre, 4.30 pm – 6 pm for Juniors and 6-7.30pm for adults for just $5.

Alternatively, if Beach Volleyball is more your game then we are running a Junior Beach Community Clinic for high school-aged children at the Geraldton Aquarena, Friday, May 28, 3.45-4.45pm for just $5. We will also be running two beach volleyball development sessions for the Geraldton Beach Volleyball Club during the week.

Our Places to Play Coordinator will also be visiting volleyball facilities in the region and Local Government Authorities to talk more about how we can support the growth of our sport in the Midwest.

The State Government through the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries is a major supporter of Volleyball WA’s Mid West Volleyball Development Trip in Western Australia. Sport and Recreation builds stronger, healthier, happier, and safer communities. Healthway and the Alcohol.Think Again Message are also supporters of Volleyball WA’s Regional Programs.
