The 2018/19 Alcohol. Think Again Beach Volleyball Tour started with our first round, the VWA Beach Open last Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October 2018 at Sandsport Australia in Nedlands. The first round saw 56 teams battling it out across four divisions in the most unpredictable weather conditions. New season also meant some new faces on the tour and some new partnerships being formed. The newly formed partnership between Jon Hunt and Maksim Bacovic dominated this first round in the Men’s Elite Division winning the grand final against a very experienced pair Kingston/Hague in 3 sets 13-15, 15-13 15-10. In the Women’s Elite Division we also saw a new partnership wining the grand final with the pair Arminen/Orszaghova winning in a three setter against a resilient team, Sadler/Ryan 15-9, 12-15, 15-13.
