WA Youth Teams Shine Brightly at Bendigo Championships

After six days of competition and 378 matches, the 2022 Australian Youth Volleyball Championship winners were crowned after an action-packed finals day last week. Among the finals lineup were seven of our eight teams who traveled to Bendigo for the four-day competition. WA put on a dazzling display of skill, and it is a credit to the coaches and parents who have supported these athletes in their pursuit of Gold.

Congratulations to Queensland who were awarded the President’s Cup as the overall winning state with the biggest shout out of course to our successful teams listed below.

Results

Gold U18 Girls

Silver U16 Girls

Bronze U15 Boys

In addition, we also want to congratulate Jimmie Mok who took out WA Coach of the Year, and William Dundas who was awarded Referee of the Tournament.

Our youth athletes will now turn their attention to the sand with the Beach State Team preseason training and trials program as the next opportunity they have for selection to represent the State.
