Fresh Face in the VWA Events Team

Volleyball WA is pleased to welcome Millie Monaghan who has joined the Pathways and Events team as a part time event coordinator.

Millie has been busy working in an administration role for a small accounting firm, while also working for WA Cricket within their community cricket department and completing her final year of a Sport and Recreation Management degree. So managing some Volleyball should be a breeze.

She has played and been involved in sport for as long as she can remember whether that was playing in the backyard with her brother or competitive sport. She played cricket and represented WA.

She has always wanted to work within the sport industry and be able to give others the same experiences and opportunities, playing, volunteering, coaching or managing sport. Cricket and AFL have been keen passions, but not the only sports she has tried we are looking forward to getting her on a volleyball court soon.

Millie is looking forward to understanding more about Volleyball and bringing her knowledge from other sports to Volleyball WA and seeing how some of her learnings can be applied to our game and competitions. She is hoping to deliver seamless events that will be enjoyed by our playing community.

Some of the first events she will be involved in are the Fortix Cup in October and Rotto Cup in November so make sure you make her feel welcome.
