The spotlight was on Men’s Elite Winners Josh Court and Tom Dempsey, who displayed the perfect pairing of experience and determination. Josh Court, former Australian Beach Volleyroo teamed up with 18-year-old rising star Tom Dempsey, earning Tom’s first ever Elite beach tour win.

“The entire tournament with Courty (Josh Court) was very enjoyable and it feels unreal to get my first win. On top of that though, I felt I learned a lot from playing with him. He definitely helped me play my best in every game.” Said Demspey.

Dempsey and Court fought relentlessly to defeat the Round 1 Gold Medallists, Gabriel Abbott and Daniel Piggott in three close sets during the grand final on Sunday, with scores of 19-21, 25-23 and 15-11.

Following a seven-week break for the holidays, the Alcohol.Think Again Beach Tour will return for Round Three on the 16th – 17th of January 2021 at Trigg Beach.

Before the Volleyball WA office breaks for Christmas on the 18th, there is one more Alcohol.Think Again event on the calendar to launch us into the New Year.
