Beach Season is almost upon us which means it’s time to get ready for some fun in the sun. Volleyball Western Australia would like to invite you to be a part of the fun and exciting Beach Development Squad which will be commencing on the 12th of October 2017 and will run until the 28th of November 2017. The Beach Development Squad is open to U15 and U17 Male and Female athletes born after the 1st of January 2002.
The VWA Beach Development Squad has been designed to provide young athletes with an opportunity to develop their skills in beach volleyball, under the guidance of some of WA’s best coaches.
The program will focus on the individual skills of Volleyball and fits within Volleyball WA’s Athlete Development pathway (FTEM). The outcome of the program is to ensure that athletes are able to perform the foundation skills with precision, and provide them with the best platform to successful representation in the future.
The pathway for athletes who would like to participate in the 2018 Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Championships (AJBVC) is as follows:
- Beach Development Squad – The sessions for Beach Volleyball will run twice a week in school term four and commence on the 12th of October 2017
