Volleyball Takes Over SSWA Senior High School Country Week

The 2024 SSWA Senior High Schools Country Week took place last week, with volleyballers from all around regional WA taking to the courts at HBF Stadium and UWA to compete for the top spot in their grade. 88 teams from 49 schools entered the volleyball competition, making volleyball the biggest sport at Country Week once again.

Games were intense and the rallies were long, yet the players would walk off the court with smiles, having made new friendships and lifelong memories. Even the crowd would get involved, cheering not only for their school but other schools as well.

In the Boys A Grade, Christmas Island District High School took first place for the 5^th consecutive year, defeating Merredin College. For the Girls A Grade, Albany Senior High School triumphed against Margaret River Senior High School in an absolute nail biter.
