Volleyball Australia will host a ParaVolley development camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra this June.
All athletes and coaches interested in participating in either ParaVolley discipline – Beach ParaVolley and/or Sitting Volleyball – are invited to submit an expression of interest to attend the camp.
This camp, which takes place from Friday 9 to Monday 12 June, is the first step for Volleyball Australia on the path to the Brisbane Paralympics in 2032.
Athletes do not need to have volleyball experience, but good athletic ability and a great attitude is highly-valued. Similarly, volleyball coaches do not need ParaVolley coaching experience; just an eagerness to learn.
The camp will include opportunities to learn skills, tactics and strategies in both disciplines, as well as workshops involving athlete and coach development on and off the court.
