Volleyball WA is looking forward to welcoming athletes, coaches, referees, family and friends to Perth, Western Australia for the VolleyWest Festival which starts on Sunday the 21 September, 2025.
VolleyWest consists of four National events which provide exciting opportunities for the entire Western Australia volleyball community to come along and join in all the action!
VolleyWest will not only highlight some of the best volleyball talent from across the country but is also expected to significantly enhance the local economy, potentially bringing in millions of dollars. Robyn Kuhl, CEO of Volleyball WA, expressed her enthusiasm for the four events, saying, “The Western Australian volleyball community is eagerly anticipating the arrival of teams from across the nation. We are very much looking forward to hosting the first round of the Mahindra Australian Volleyball Super League (AVSL) with our very own Perth Steel playing Queensland Pirates on Sunday the 21st September. Thereafter, it is both an honour and a privilege for the Volleyball WA team to assist and support Volleyball Australia with the hosting of the Mahindra Australian Youth Volleyball Championships, Australian Club Volleyball Championships, and the National Youth Development Camp.”
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Tourism Western Australia, Venues West, and Volleyball Australia for supporting VolleyWest. The Western Australian community eagerly welcomes the commencement of these four major volleyball events, ready to celebrate the sport and welcome visitors from all over the country.
At a local level Volleyball WA is also hosting the Sitting Volleyball Cup on Saturday the 20th of September, the annual Alcohol.Think Again (ATA) Country State Championships on the 27-28 September, and teams from Singapore and Indonesia who will be playing in the Club Volleyball Championships.
We look forward to welcoming our Regional and International visitors to Perth and wish them every success in the events that they are playing in!
Special thanks to Healthway for their ongoing annual support of the ATA Country State Championships, and to the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport Asian Engagement Project for their support of our Inclusion programs, the Asian Engagement Program and the Women’s AVSL team – Perth Steel.
