Volleyball WA referees to look the part in 2021!

Thanks to a new partnership with the Australian Volleyball Warehouse, Volleyball WA will be able to outfit all its referees in the official Volleyball Australia referee uniform for a heavily discounted price.

While not yet mandatory for all referees the early release pre-sale figures have been very positive with sporting officials getting in early to be among the first in our community to be wearing the new shirts.

The new shirts which will feature the Volleyball WA and Australian Volleyball Warehouse logos are available in short and long sleeve to cover both indoor and beach seasons and can be ordered directly through Volleyball WA or via the website.

The new shirts are part of a bigger project being undertaken by Volleyball WA and the Referee Committee to boost the profile of our officials within the sport, to bring increased prestige and respect to the role and build our referee community numbers inline with the growth of the sport.

Shane Purvis, General Manager of Joust Sports and Australian Volleyball Warehouse said,” the new partnership is a fantastic way for us to invest back into the sport and to do so in a very visual way. While some sports are still feeling the effect of COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns, Volleyball WA remain nothing but positive and forward thinking”.

Robyn Kuhl, CEO of Volleyball WA, “was very pleased to see the first significant outcome from the hard work of the Referee Committee in their pursuit of raising the visibility of our referees and the important role they play in our sport”.
