As we head towards the final rounds of our State League, Volleyball WA wants to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude to the volleyball clubs across our state that have stepped up to support the development of the sport. Specifically, we want to thank those clubs who have taken the initiative to host VA Level 2 Coach and Referee courses to upskill their members and to meet the accreditation requirements for WAVL.

Alongside with the VWA scheduled courses, a mix of coach and referee courses have been run by the following clubs: Busselton Volleyball Association, Rossmoyne Volleyball Club, Murdoch Volleyball Club (in collaboration with Rossmoyne, Apex, and Fremantle), Northern Stars Volleyball Club (in collaboration with NorthShore Rockets and Balcatta Cats), Albany Volleyball Association, Perth Reds Volleyball Association, Southern Cross Volleyball Association, and Mandurah Volleyball Association.

We greatly appreciate the time, resources, and the dedication of all the volunteers in these clubs and associations actively involved in organizing and facilitating these courses, as they are not only helping to build a strong foundation for the present but also a sustainable future of volleyball in our state.

We also want to thank all of our course presenters who are willing to share their knowledge and passion for the sport.

Attending a VA Level 2 Course grants the participant a Level 2 Associate Accreditation (Level 2 Associate Coach or Level 2 Associate Referee). Our Associate accredited members are the base of our future high-level coaches and referees, and we are excited to see them grow in both knowledge and experience. In the first half of 2025, we are very please to welcome 141 new Level 2 Associate Referees and 50 new Level 2 Associate Coaches.

This growth is not just the result of the hard work of individual clubs, but a collective effort by the entire volleyball community. We acknowledge the invaluable support of coaches, referees, administrators, and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of these courses. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are proud to stand alongside you as we continue to grow.
