WA Volleyball League Wraps Up In Style

Warwick Stadium was the place to be on Sunday with packed grandstands, an electric atmosphere, and a master class by the very best Volleyballers in the state competing in the WA Volleyball League Grand Finals.

From Division 6 all the way up to our State League, no team was prepared to concede and fought every point for their chance for gold. This drive to win kept spectators on the edge of their seats with long rallies and spectacular points.

The WA Steel players, who are currently preparing for their first AVL home game on 8th October, hosted a junior skills clinic in the morning putting the next generation of talented athletes through their paces and joining in themselves, exposing them to a fun training experience.

Special congratulations to the ECU Chequers State League Men as they made Club history by becoming the first ECU Men’s team to win the WAVL State League Premiership.

The Balcatta Cats State League Women have also ended a 4-year gap in Grand Final representation by claiming gold on Sunday for the first time since 2017.

Reds Volleyball Club proved strong in State League Reserves and Division 1, taking out all four titles in the male and female divisions.

The WA Volleyball League wraps up for another year following 18 rounds, 130 teams, 1257 players, 14 clubs, and 20 venues across the state.

Volleyball WA would like to thank Tournament Director, Dani Francis and her team of Venue Coordinators and Referees for their efforts each Sunday during the season.

A big thanks to our League sponsor, Morley Mitsubishi who have supported the season and assisted Volleyball WA to continue to raise the visibility of our sport in the community.

Thanks also goes to our sport’s major partners, Healthway and the Alcohol. Think Again message, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Lotterywest, Fortix, and the WA Association for Mental Health.

Congratulations to all the Clubs and Associations who supported their teams through another successful WAVL season.
