Well, that’s a wrap for WAVL 2021

Warwick Stadium was packed and the atmosphere electric as teams fought it out for Grand Final glory at the 2021 WAVL Grand Finals on Sunday.

In a nail-biting game between ECU Chequers and UWA, both teams gallantly battled it out over four sets in the Women’s State League Grand Final. It was the girls from ECU Chequers that were the eventual winners in an extremely tough competition.

The Men’s State League game was equally as thrilling with Northern Stars defeating Reds in three straight sets in the Men’s State League competition.

Volleyball WA CEO, Robyn Kuhl also took this opportunity to announce that Dani Francis will be officially stepping back from her Chief Referee/Tournament Director role for the Sunday WAVL competition. VWA acknowledged her tireless work with a small gift and her commitment to the sport was celebrated with a huge cheer from the crowd.

Volleyball WA congratulates all teams for playing with such good spirit and sportsmanship.
