The State’s best volleyballers will be returning to Scarborough Beach on Saturday 1& Sunday 2 March for the Alcohol. Think Again Beach Volleyball State Championships.
There will be plenty of talent on show over the weekend. Adrian ‘AJ’ Lee will once again pair up with the Sam Halley in the men’s AAA Division, hoping to repeat their success from the fifth round of the State Series, played in Bunbury and Melissa Johnson / Jenny Day are the top seeds in the AAA women’s Division. Sam Halley won a bronze medal recently at the National Junior Beach Volleyball Competition in Adelaide in the Under 23 age category
Another team to watch in the men’s category will be Scott Biffen / Warren Jones. In the women’s category Carrie-Anne Cairns / Tara Banks and Shelby Maher / Emma Lauriston will put pressure on the No 1 Seeds. Shelby and Emma won a silver medal at the Adelaide National Junior Beach Volleyball competition in the Under 19 age category.
Look for the 92.9 Road Runners between 9:00 and 11:00am on Sunday morning, who’ll be setting up their world famous BBQ.
