And that name is Star Physio!
There was a lot at stake for the two-time reigning champions, the team from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC), and in the build-up to the event many had announced their desire to topple them off the winner’s podium. But it was the team from Star Physio that eventually got the job done winning a thrilling single-set Grand Final match
The Fortix Corporate Cup started in 2015, held during Mental Health Week it was developed to encourage people to take time from their desks to enjoy some physical activity, get outside and socialise with colleagues.
This year the challenge was taken up by teams from Healthway, Commonwealth Bank, Star Physio, Coors Chambers Westgarth, Pitcher Partners, SpeedFit, HFM, DLGSC, and even a sneaky team from Volleyball WA.
The event was blessed by good weather making it an enjoyable afternoon spent on the beach courts at Volleyball WA with participants all left wanting more.
Corporate teams were again treated to the hospitality provided by cup supporters, The Good Grocer Leederville just before the semi-finals. The semifinalists included previous cup winners Speedfit, HFM and DLGSC so were all close matches making for exciting spectator viewing.
