Alcohol. Think Again WA Open returns to Scarborough Beach in January!

The 2022/2023 WA Open will have something for everyone! It’ll be a wonderful weekend of Beach Volleyball at one of the best beaches in WA, alongside activities for families and spectators. The event commences on Saturday, January 21 and you can’t miss the finals on Sunday!

The WA Open is the pinnacle beach volleyball event in WA and will be packed with local talent.  Athletes will compete across two days to be named ‘best in the west’ on the sand.

With prize money on the line at the WA Open, there is an added incentive which is guaranteed to make the final even more exciting to watch!

“There are many contenders for WA’s best beach, but it’s perhaps Scarborough Beach that provides the perfect amphitheatre and show court for both competitors and spectators, says Volleyball WA’s CEO Robyn Kuhl. The City of Stirling has been exceedingly supportive of the game, adding four new public courts in 2021 for beachgoers to enjoy any time of the year.

”Healthway Lotterywest CEO Ralph Addis said Healthway is proud to once again partner with Volleyball WA for the WA Open, promoting the Alcohol.Think Again health message. “Through our partnership we are able to work towards our vision of creating a healthy Western Australia by increasing awareness of the harms associated with alcohol use within the volleyball community,” Mr Addis said.

Bring the family along to enjoy the swag of activities on offer in the Alcohol. Think Again Family Zone presented by Healthway. There will be an opportunity to ‘come and try’ volleyball and other fun activities, as well as collect some giveaways on Sunday between 10am and 2pm.

So, come on down to get involved in one of Western Australia’s fastest growing sports! With a perfect mix of competition and fun, the Alcohol. Think Again WA Open is a perfect opportunity to see what all the fuss is about.
