The Women’s coaching team remains unchanged from last year as they work towards going one better in 2023 to bring home Gold! Pauline, Laurel and Dylan all understand the pressure of competing at such a high level having represented the State and Country many times themselves.

Pauline Manser, Head Coach Perth Steel Women’s Team said “The squad have been working hard in the lead up to this year’s revamped program. The new format will certainly add a twist to each match. With this in mind Perth Steel are focussed on being the most consistent, focussed team developing player lead problem solving.”

The Men’s Team has Rachel Trent back for 2023 with new faces Mark Petersen and Nick Bew added to this years coaching line up.

Mark Petersen, Head Coach Perth Steel Men’s Team said “We are looking forward to the 2023 season and the exciting new format of the Australian Volleyball Super League. It’s a brave step in the right direction for the sport and we hope to bring many non-volleyball eyes to the game.

In preparation, we have had scratch matches to get used to the special circumstances we will face such as no timeouts, shorter sets and of course the power plays. The boys have adjusted well and are playing very high-level volleyball. As a fan, you can expect fast-paced, exciting volleyball from the very first point!”

The first home round for Perth Steel is Saturday, August 12 @ Warwick Stadium. Doors Open at 5pm with the Women’s game up first at 5.30pm.
