The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) recently announced the successful recipients of Round 3 applications for the Community Use of School Sporting Facilities (CUSSF) grant. This funding initiative is designed to foster partnerships between schools and community sporting organisations to maximise the use of existing facilities.
In this round, five schools were successful in their application in partnership with volleyball clubs and associations. These recipients are:
- Bunbury Senior High School – Bunbury Volleyball Association
- Dalyellup College – Bunbury Volleyball Association
- Ellenbrook Secondary College – Volleyball WA
- Greenwood College – Balcatta Volleyball Club
- Kelmscott Senior High School – Rossmoyne Volleyball Club
The funding will be put towards facility upgrades and improved sporting resources, and this includes court line marking, storage for equipment, and installation of volleyball posts and nets. Collaborations between schools and community sporting organisations are vital in expanding opportunities for active engagement across local communities.
The next round of CUSSF funding will open in Term 1, 2026 and we strongly encourage all Clubs and Associations to explore this opportunity. For more information, please contact Volleyball WA ([email protected] or [email protected]) or visit the CITS website HERE.
