Volleyball needs your voice! The Australian Sports Commission is running a survey to understand the needs of community sports like ours. This is a key chance to highlight the challenges we face with court access and training venues. Read the message below from our CEO, Robyn Kuhl, and take a few minutes to complete the survey — your input can help shape the future of volleyball in WA.
To the Volleyball WA community.
Volleyball WA needs your help!
Gemba is currently conducting a survey on behalf of the Australian Sports Commission about community sporting infrastructure needs.
We all know how hard it is to get court space for training and playing needs. We also know that clubs often train across multiple venues and that most clubs don’t have a centralised location for training.
We need you to complete the survey and encourage your fellow club members to do the same.
This is our chance for our voices to be heard and influence future policy and funding decisions. Together, we can make a positive impact for the benefit of volleyball and its community.
The survey takes about five to ten minutes to complete. Questions are tailored according to your previous response, and there are some key themes. There are questions about the impact of climate change on venues and whether the State Sporting Association has facility guidelines or provides support to clubs with grant applications.
Volleyball WA Facility guidelines can be found here, and we are always willing to assist with grant applications. All you need to do is ask! A recent success is the Perth Scorpions and Cyril Jackson partnership.
Don’t delay, fill in the survey today!
With thanks,
Robyn Kuhl
