Perth Steel Round 2 Super League Review

The Australian Volleyball Super League’s 2nd Round delivered an intense showdown between  Steel and NSW Phoenix in the women’s match. The battle kept fans on the edge of their seats as it extended to a thrilling 5th set. Victoria Wells lead Steel with an impressive 10 kills, while middle blocker Tessa Brown added 9 kills to the scoreboard. NSW Phoenix fought well, with outside hitter Matuaina Gibbons contributing a match-high of 14 kills. Both teams displayed exceptional skill and determination, making it an exciting match. In the end, Steel managed to edge out a victory with a decisive block from Elysse Hislop, sealing the set 13 -18.

In a great men’s volleyball match between Steel and NSW Phoenix, Steel secured the match win in 4 sets and went on to win the fifth set with a score of 18-12. A standout player of the match was Tom Heptinstall, who showcased a match-high with 18 kills on 26 attempts, achieving a hitting percentage of 69.2%. The great atmosphere and competition from the teams made this match a memorable and exciting event for all fans.
