John Paul College (JPC) hosted the JPC Interschool Volleyball Tournament in Kalgoorlie this week. Twenty-three teams, 190 players from six different schools took to the courts to compete for competition glory.
The participating schools were Kalgoorlie Boulder Community High School, Goldfields Baptist College, Christian Aboriginal Parent-Directed School, Eastern Goldfields College and of course hosts John Paul College.
“It was an incredible fun-filled day with the students all saying they enjoyed themselves”, said Ashley Wilson, Physical Education, Outdoor Education, Religious Education and Science Teacher at John Paul College.
Teams competed in Open and Junior Divisions during the carnival. The winning team in the open division were Eastern Goldfields College and in the junior division, John Paul College swept the home court to win.
The college would like to thank the Kalgoorlie Volleyball Association for their support during the tournament as well as the many that sponsored trophies including Volleyball WA.
