As part of the Concussion in Sport Education Project Sports Medicine Australia WA will be holding a Concussion in Sport Symposium. This half day event will provide a comprehensive look at best practice prevention, management and treatment of concussion from elite sports through to community sports from the perspective of team medical officers, general practitioners, club support personnel (including medical, coaches and parents) directly responsible for the injury.

Cost: $88 for Non-Members $55 for SMA Members
If you are an employee or a volunteer at a State Sporting Association you can attend the Symposium at a subsidised cost with the help of DSR;

Speakers include: Dr Michael Makdissi
Michael is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician who works with a number of national and international teams including Hawthorn Football Club, AIS- AFL Academy and the Australian Swim team. He is also a member of the International Consensus Group on Concussion in Sport.
