WAVL Super Sunday Is Here

The 2020 WAVL season is approaching its end, with an action-packed day of finals on this Sunday at Warwick Stadium.

After a quick and unpredictable return to volleyball in June, and an usual front-loaded start to the season, the State League and State League Reserve teams have reached the pinnacle moment of the WA Volleyball League. This Sunday, eight teams will compete in the WAVL State League Grand Finals to decide who is ‘best in the west’ for 2020.

In State League, four different clubs will battle it out in the big dance. For the women, ECU Volleyball Club will return to the Grand Final for the third year in a row, and will face Reds Volleyball Club who are making their Grand Final debut. For the men, 2019 Champions and 2020 top seed, UWA Volleyball Club, will take on the second seeded Balcatta Volleyball Club.

State League Reserves will showcase Rossmoyne Volleyball Club in both the female and male Grand Final, competing against Reds Volleyball Club and UWA Volleyball Club, respectively. The women’s games will kick off the State League action at 1:00pm, followed by the men at 3:00pm.

While the State League teams wrap up their season on Courts 1 & 2, the Division teams will begin their finals campaigns on Courts 3, 4, and 5. Division semi-finals kick off at 8:00am and will run all day long, guaranteeing a lively atmosphere at Warwick Stadium.
