The 2021/2022 WA Open will have something for everyone! It’ll be a wonderful weekend of Beach Volleyball at one of the best beaches in WA, alongside activities for families and spectators. The event commences on Saturday, February 5 and you can’t miss the finals on Sunday!

The WA Open is the pinnacle beach volleyball event in WA and will be packed with local talent.  Athletes will compete across two days to be named ‘best in the west’ on the sand.

With the WA border scheduled to open on the first day of competition, the 2022 event is almost certain to be an all-West Australian affair. In the events preceding the Open, the Men’s and Women’s Elite divisions have been highly competitive, with a similar core group of athletes appearing in the finals and swapping positions on the leader board each round.

With prize money on the line at the WA Open, there is an added incentive that is guaranteed to make the final even more exciting to watch!

“There are many contenders for WA’s best beach, but it’s perhaps Scarborough Beach that provides the perfect amphitheatre and show court for both competitors and spectators, says Volleyball WA’s CEO Robyn Kuhl. The City of Stirling has been exceedingly supportive of the game, adding four new public courts in 2021 for beachgoers to enjoy any time of the year.”
