The 2020 VWA Harmony Cup was another great success, with 20 teams competing at the event on December 13.
The VWA Harmony Cup acknowledges Harmony Week and promotes the message that ‘Everyone Belongs’. The event celebrates our cultural diversity and cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home.
129 participants took part in the 2020 event including many from CaLD communities. Several Masters teams were also involved, with an eye to the upcoming Masters events and Australian Masters Championships later next year.

About the VWA Harmony Cup
The VWA Harmony Cup is a Social Volley Indoor competition that is open to the whole community. While Harmony Cup is typically held during Harmony Week, the 2020 event had to be rescheduled. Harmony Week is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate our vibrant multicultural country.
A Commitment to Diversity
Volleyball WA is happy to see some many persons from so many cultures in WA enjoying volleyball. Volleyball is a world sport that brings so many cultures together. Hosting this event within Harmony Week helps us to acknowledge and celebrate this.
We will continue to encourage and support groups to Discover Volleyball. The Harmony Cup is just one of our additional events that complement our regular competitions. Mark the following in your diary for 2021:
