It is sadness that we let you know that Sue Scudds has passed away.

Many of you will have known Sue through one of the many roles that she undertook for the sport of volleyball.

She was a Referee at all levels of the sport, with an estimate over the years of between 4,500 – 6,000 games.   This included referee duties at Park Recreation Centre and Loftus Recreation Centre, State level and National level games and many National Championships.

Sue also acted as Chaperone for the Western Australia State teams, was the Western Australian Volleyball Association (WAVA) Executive Secretary from 1981-1984, Volleyball WA Board member and many, many other duties which collectively resulted in her receiving a Volleyball WA Order of Merit in 1986, Volleyball WA Life Membership in 1987 and a Volleyball Australia Distinguished Service Medal in 1995.

In recent time, Sue has been working as a volunteer in the Volleyball WA office undertaking the important task of collecting and collating the history for the sport, we have greatly appreciated her undertaking this role and will miss seeing her every Wednesday.

The funeral took place at 2.00pm on Friday 27th January 2017 at the Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park, West Chapel.
