More than 550 teams from around Australia are set to descend on Melbourne next week for the 2018 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup.
As the second largest secondary school sporting event in the country, Melbourne will see the next generation of volleyball superstars battle it out for national glory. WA will be well represented with 43 teams from 12 WA schools playing across the 23 competition divisions.
The 2018 contingent of teams will be looking to eclipse some stellar 2017 results. Leading the pack will be the teams from Rossmoyne Senior High School who placed sixth in the overall National Champion School competition at last year’s event.
“WA’s growing pool of talent will be on full display in Melbourne. I’m sure the best from the west are ready to take up the challenge and return home with the silver wear.” Robyn Kuhl Volleyball WA CEO said.
“On behalf of the Volleyball WA board and community, I would like to wish each and every athlete, coach and official the best of luck in Melbourne.”
The 2018 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup is set to run from the 9th to the 14th of December at in Melbourne Victoria.
