Volleyball WA is pleased to announce that the vibrant community of Mandurah is set to come alive with the 2024/2025 Alcohol. Think Again Beach Tour returning to the region for the first time since 2022. Celebrating athleticism, teamwork, and the spirit of summer. This exciting event will take place on the stunning shores of Town Beach, attracting participants and spectators from across the area.
“Volleyball WA is happy to collaborate with the City of Mandurah to bring a high-level beach volleyball event to this regional town. Mandurah has a thriving volleyball community of its own, and we hope that our top tour players will inspire the next generation of players” said Volleyball WA CEO, Robyn Kuhl.
Mandurah Mayor Rhys Williams said “The City of Mandurah is proud to support Volleyball WA in bringing the beach tour to our beautiful city, and we look forward to welcoming players and spectators to this weekend’s event. Events such as these are great for our local sporting clubs, enthusiasts and the wider community, plus help us to showcase Mandurah and all we have to offer to more people. We wish all players well during the competition and encourage everyone to head along, take a look and get involved.”
Alongside the event Mandurah Volleyball Association will be running a come and try activity on Saturday and Sunday 9 am – 12 pm, so come down and have a hit while watching some of WA’s best beach athletes.
This round in Mandurah is Round 2 of the 2024/2025 season. While the beach tour is not often played at Town Beach, local athletes will have a hometown advantage and a good understanding of the weather conditions that can influence the game’s outcome.
We thank the City of Mandurah for their support and commitment to fostering community engagement through sports. Their dedication to providing exceptional facilities and resources has made this event possible, allowing us to showcase our beautiful beach and promote healthy, active lifestyles.
As always, we thank our naming rights sponsor Healthway, for supporting our sport and enabling us to take the game out into regional communities. Together, we are creating a platform for competitive sports and encouraging participants and attendees to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle.
