Southern Cross  vs Fremantle,  SL3 Men’s division at HBF Arena Joodalup

It was a weekend featuring plenty of close finishes with many matches going the full 5 sets. With many players away for school holidays, lower division teams from all clubs were tested with irregular personnel and reduced numbers. Congratulations to all on producing quality volleyball under pressure!

Women’s team of the week goes to FASA Open League Women, still remaining unbeaten for the season. Men’s team of the week goes to Southern Cross Superleague 3 Men, who continue their strong season at 12 wins for 1 loss.

In other matches, Rossmoyne Superleague 1 Men challenged Balcatta but were eventually defeated 3-1 in an exciting clash. Southern Cross Superleague 1 Men went the distance to deny a hungry Fremantle Fury 3-2 and Rossmoyne 2 produced a sensational performance without their regular setter to win 3-0 against UWA Gold in Women’s Superleague 2.
