If you and the family are heading off this summer on a road trip you might be surprised to discover where there are public Volleyball courts along the way for you to have a hit. You could also take your own Volleyball kit and string the net up between two trees in a park.
Heading north, Seaspray Beach Holiday Park in Dongara just put in a court to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.
Then there are public courts at Port Gregory Jetty foreshore area, Chinaman’s Beach Kalbarri, and at Monkey Mia in front of the resort. In most cases there are just poles on the beach so this is where a backyard kit which includes a net and ball would be perfect.
If your family is heading off in the other direction, there are plenty of places in the Southwest to play as well. There is a lovely court at Dalyellup in Naroona Park. Then there are beach courts at Koombana Bay, Bunbury, on the Busselton Foreshore near the jetty and Middleton Beach in Albany.
If you are towing a van, then the Gracetown Caravan Park and the BIG 4 Denmark Ocean Beach Holiday parks have a court as well.
Volleyball is a game that can be played by all members of the family, in a park or on a beach, it is fun and good for a laugh.
We are sure there are plenty more places to play the game up and down the coastline, in reserves and caravan parks throughout the state. If you see one or better still have a play over the summer holidays, we would love to hear about it.
