Broadcast details released for Scape Australian Volleyball Super League

Volleyball Australia is proud to welcome SBS as the major broadcast partner of the 2023 Scape Australian Volleyball Super League.

Over the course of the five home-or-away rounds, SBS will stream feature matches each weekend via SBS On Demand, with all other fixtures available live on Cluch TV.

When the League is decided on Sunday 17 September in Bendigo, the final will be televised free to air live on SBS and streamed live on SBS On Demand.

In another significant partnership development for the sport, Volleyball Australia has ramped up its commitment to the production quality and appointed Rainmaker as the production partner for the SBS content. Rainmaker is the TV & content production arm of the Sports Entertainment Network (SEN).

Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee says the arrangement is a win for the sport and its fans.

“In recent years SBS have been great supporters of volleyball in this country and it’s fitting that they are with us as we launch into the inaugural season of the Scape Australian Volleyball Super League,” said Dee.

“Having every match available via SBS and Cluch will give the League the kind of exposure it needs and deserves.

“While we want to see the stands packed each weekend, volleyball fans around the country who can’t make it to the games live are going to have unprecedented access on whichever device they choose.”

“Our partnership with Rainmaker and SEN will present the League in a format like never before, I can’t wait for it to go live this weekend.”

The Scape Australian Volleyball Super League starts this Saturday 12 August with SBS On Demand streaming Queensland Pirates v Canberra Heat LIVE from 6:30pm AEST. Fans of the Melbourne Vipers, Adelaide Storm, Perth Steel and NSW Phoenix can watch their teams via Cluch TV.
