There was Volleyball happening all over this weekend, at Scarborough Beach as part of the Groundswell Festival and then at Loftus Recreation Centre. The annual Alcohol. Think Again Country of Origin Indoor Competition continues to be a platform for promoting inclusiveness attracting teams representing countries from across the globe.
The Alcohol. Think Again Country of Origin Indoor Volleyball Competition is a multicultural social competition for all communities. Participants can represent their country of origin, meet new people from different cultural backgrounds and most importantly, have fun!
The competition included a Male (A & B), Female (A & B) and Mixed Division. Some of the countries represented included New Zealand, Philippines, Japan, Brazil, Australia, India, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Norway, Vietnam, China, Afghanistan, Nepal, Fiji reflecting Volleyball as a world game and the mix of cultures in our community.
