Country of Origin Recap: Uniting Communities Through Sport

 

Volleyball WA hosted our Alcohol. Think Again Country of Origin Indoor Competition at Loftus Recreation Centre on Sunday 12th October with 44 teams and 330 participants from 14 countries of origin.

The Alcohol. Think Again Country of Origin Indoor Volleyball Competition is a multicultural social competition for all communities. Participants can represent their country of origin, meet new people from different cultural backgrounds and most importantly, have fun!

The competition included a Male (A & B), Female (A & B) and Mixed (A & B) Divisions. Some of the countries represented included Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Australia, Columbia, Brazil, Nepal, Mongolia, Vietnam, Fiji, Afghanistan, South Korea, Kenya and Taiwan, reflecting Volleyball as a world game and the mix of cultures in our community.
