Volleyball WA is thrilled to welcome Anika Eriksen to the team as our new Event Coordinator!
Originally from Melbourne, Anika brings a wealth of experience and passion for sport and events to the role. After completing a Double Degree in Exercise and Sport Science / Business (Sport Management), she went on to work at Monash University across several roles including Event Coordinator at Monash Sport, Project Officer at Team Monash, and Executive Assistant in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Experience) and Senior Vice President.

“I started playing volleyball in high school and have loved it ever since,” Anika shared. “Like most setters, I’d love to be a better hitter, but alas, not to be! I was really excited to apply for this role and to intertwine my passion for events and volleyball together.”
As Event Coordinator, Anika is looking forward to diving into the Western Australian sporting scene and helping Volleyball WA continue to grow the game.
“I’m super excited to be working for VWA and with like minded people who love sport and getting people involved! A major focus for me over the next 6 to 12 months is to gain a more in depth understanding of the sporting landscape in WA and how we can increase the visibility and participation in the Alcohol Think Again Beach Tour and WAVL/WAVJL.”
Outside of work, Anika is taking on a new kind of challenge — learning to sew!
“I’m currently on a mission to reduce my doom scrolling, so I’m trying to learn how to sew my own clothes.”
We’re so excited to have Anika bring her energy, experience, and enthusiasm to Volleyball WA. Welcome aboard!
