Australian Volleyball Schools Cup: WA Schools Leave Their Mark For the 41st Edition

 

Last week, 31 teams from nine WA schools made their way to the Gold Coast to compete in the 41st edition of the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup. Playing against schools from around Australia and New Zealand, teams not only got to enjoy plenty of volleyball, but also made new memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Shout out to Aquinas College, Christmas Island District High School, Greenwood College, Mandurah Baptist College, Penrhos College, Rossmoyne Senior High School, Scotch College, St James Anglican School and St Mary’s Anglican Girls School – well done on this amazing week of volleyball!

We congratulate Rossmoyne Senior High School on their 30th year of attendance, where they finished as 4th overall champion school.

Several individuals from WA had their long service to the competition recognised:

Dani Francis (Volunteer) – 25 years

Rory Read (Rossmoyne Senior High School) – 25 years

Joseph Paul (Rossmoyne Senior High School) – 15 years

Evan Willey (Rossmoyne Senior High School) – 10 years

Kieran Cranley (St James’ Anglican School) – 10 years

 

Additionally, 11 volunteers from WA dedicated their week to ensuring a successful competition. Well done to Carly Walters, Dani Francis, David Forster, Jess Grigio, Jimi Baird, Oliver Guazzelli, Paris Rond, Percy Bilimoria, Rowan Facey, Shaun Barnett, and Tatiana Ray.
