John Boultbee, the High Performance Manager for Volleyball Australia, says:
The men’s Volleyroos had the opportunity to play before home crowds in Sydney (v Brazil) and Melbourne (v Serbia) in the World League over the last 2 weeks, after 3 weeks traipsing around the world. The highlight was the cliff-hanging 5 set victory over Serbia on Sunday, which result keeps them in the top division of the World League for 2016 – fantastic in the Olympic Year. Perth boys Luke Perry and Sam Walker have been prominent in all the World League matches, and they were joined by Luke Smith on the bench in Melbourne.
