Volleyball WA Welcomes Ella Stewart

We’re excited to announce a recent restructure in the Volleyball WA office and introduce you to Ella Stewart, our new Development Coordinator – Metro. This change comes as part of our expanded focus on regional and metropolitan growth, supported by DLGSC funding for 2024/25.

Ella will be working four days a week (Monday, Wednesday to Friday) and will provide direct support to our Metro Affiliates. Originally from Canada, she brings a wealth of volleyball experience to the role. Having competed at the Club, Provincial and National levels, Ella has over 10 years of playing experience. Unfortunately, an injury ended her playing career, but her passion for the sport led her to stay involved, and we’re thrilled to have her in the WA volleyball community.

In addition to her sporting achievements, Ella has an impressive academic background. She holds a degree in International Development and Peace & Conflict Studies and continued her education in Malmo, Sweden, where she studied Human Rights and Law. Her unique perspective from both her athletic and educational experiences will undoubtedly add value to our growing team.

Over the next month, Ella will be reaching out to our Metro Clubs to introduce herself and learn more about the local volleyball community. She is eager to collaborate closely with clubs to boost youth participation and looks forward to bringing her fresh perspective from Volleyball Canada to the exciting developments happening in Perth Metro.

Please join us in welcoming Ella to the team when you hear from her! We are confident her contributions will help elevate volleyball in our community.
