Volleyball WA Unveils 2026–2029 Strategic Roadmap

Over the past decade, Volleyball WA has undergone a remarkable transformation, achieving significant growth in participation, membership, staffing, and revenue. Building on this strong foundation, the 2026–2029 Strategic Plan sets a bold course for the future of volleyball in Western Australia. It reflects our unwavering commitment to inclusion, innovation, and community connection — values that have shaped our sport’s culture and driven its development across the state.

This plan is the product of extensive engagement with our community. Players, coaches, referees, affiliates, staff, volunteers, and partners shared their insights and aspirations to help define priorities that matter most. Their voices have shaped a roadmap that is ambitious yet grounded in the lived experiences of those who love and support the game. At Volleyball WA, our Purpose is clear: to inspire healthy minds and bodies through volleyball. Whether on the beach or court, in schools or local clubs, volleyball is more than a game — it’s a pathway to wellbeing, confidence, and connection.

To bring this purpose to life, our Mission is to empower and advocate for all Western Australians to play volleyball in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. We are committed to removing barriers, creating welcoming spaces, and ensuring that everyone — regardless of age, background, or ability — has the opportunity to participate and thrive. Guided by our Values of Inclusivity, Respect, Excellence, Community, and Integrity, we foster a culture that puts people first. We champion diversity, strive for continuous improvement, and build strong, supportive communities with accountability and fairness at our core.

Volleyball is one of the most marketable and appealing sports in the world — safe, gender-equal, non-contact, and suitable for all ages and abilities. Its accessibility and flexibility make it uniquely positioned to drive participation growth, social impact, and commercial interest. These qualities give volleyball a powerful platform to elevate its profile and become one of Western Australia’s leading sports.

Together with our players, coaches, officials, affiliates, and partners, we are working toward our bold Vision: to be a top-tier sport by 2030. Through collaboration, innovation, and shared passion, we are building a future where volleyball is accessible, celebrated, and proudly played by many.
