Beach volleyball will return to Bunbury this summer, with Koombana Bay confirmed as the host venue for Round Five of the 2025/2026 Alcohol. Think Again Beach Tour. The two-day event will be held on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 January 2026, continuing Volleyball WA’s involvement in the South West.

The Bunbury round is delivered in partnership with the City of Bunbury as part of the Summer Lovin’ Program, which supports community access to sport and recreation while making use of local coastal spaces.

The City of Bunbury Mayor said the return of the event for a third consecutive year reflects its growing popularity and value to the community.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Alcohol. Think Again Beach Tour back to Koombana Bay for the third consecutive year. This event has become a highlight of our Summer Lovin’ Program, bringing elite sport to our stunning foreshore while encouraging healthy, active lifestyles,” the Mayor said.“I encourage all locals and visitors to get down and experience the excitement of beach volleyball at one of Bunbury’s most iconic locations.”

Volleyball WA CEO Sophie Row said the organisation was pleased to return to Bunbury for a third consecutive year.

“Bunbury has proven to be a great location for beach volleyball, and we value our ongoing partnership with the City of Bunbury through the Summer Lovin’ Program,” Row said. “This event provides an opportunity to promote active lifestyles and give regional communities access to high-level competition. We look forward to another enjoyable weekend for players and spectators.”

The event will feature a mix of leading Western Australian beach volleyball athletes and local South West players, offering competitive matches in a relaxed beach environment. Local athletes will have the opportunity to compete against experienced tour players as part of the round.

Volleyball WA thanked the City of Bunbury for its continued support in hosting the event and helping to activate the foreshore during the summer period, as well as the Bunbury Volleyball Association for their valued support and assistance in delivering the event locally.

The Alcohol. Think Again Beach Tour is supported by Healthway through the Alcohol. Think Again campaign, which assists Volleyball WA in delivering events that promote positive health messages across Western Australia.

The Bunbury round will be free for the public to attend and is expected to attract players, families and spectators across the weekend at Koombana Bay.
