Volleyball WA is excited to spotlight the North West Volleyball Association’s recent achievements. The 2024 North West Volleyball Regional Tournament, held on the 8th and 9th of June, showcased remarkable performances from all participating teams.

The tournament saw participation from 12 teams, creating a thrilling atmosphere that highlighted the incredible talent and sportsmanship of the region. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the athletes who competed and made this event unforgettable. A special shoutout to the Tom Price Volleyball Association, Port Hedland Volleyball Association, Karratha Senior High School, and North West Volleyball Association for their contributions to the success of the tournament.
In addition to the tournament, they were honoured to have Level 4 Referee Dani Francis conduct a Referee Workshop on Friday, 7th June, at the Karratha Leisureplex. This workshop had 14 participants and was a fantastic opportunity for aspiring referees to enhance their skills and learn from one of the best in the field. Dani’s expertise and enthusiasm provided invaluable insights and set a high standard for officiating in the region.
Not only did the North West Volleyball Association hold a regional tournament, they also have a strong and dedicated committee that works tirelessly to ensure a successful volleyball season, which runs annually from May through September.
In other exciting news, the Association applied for a grant to have its logo proudly displayed on the wall at the Karratha Leisureplex. This initiative reflects their commitment to fostering a strong volleyball community and increasing visibility within the region.
