WA Hornets v VVA Vultures

What a weekend of Volleyball in WA.

The WA Hornets hosted the VVA Vultures at The Rise over the weekend but unfortunately went down two games to nil.

There were flashes of brilliance from the Hornets in both games where they looked strong enough to take the game, however a series of errors in a number of critical points in both games lead to the decisive defeat.

Stand out players from the Hornets were M. Pallot who played extremely well in the first game and Tim Middlehurst who stepped up to play not only a commanding opposite roll but then a pass hitter roll late in the second game.

The VWA Hornets must win 3 out of the next 4 matches to securely position themselves in the finals round or risk losing on a points count back and be knocked back into 5th.

Lets wish the boys luck for round 5 as they travel to play the Canberra Heat on the 8th and 9th of November. Then get excited for our last home round of 2014 in Round 6 hosting UTSSU at The “Hive” Rise, eighth ave Maylands.’
