The 2014 Pan Pacific Masters Games will be held from the 1st November – 9th November on the Sunny Gold Coast. It is anticipated that 12,000 participants will compete in the multi-sport event including our game, volleyball.

The indoor volleyball competition will start on Friday, 31st October with an evening session and will continue on the 1st November. The final day of indoor volleyball, including finals, will be played on Sunday, 2nd November. There are 8 women’s teams competing in the age categories 25+, 30+, 35+ and 40 + and 12 men’s teams competing in 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 55+, 60+. There is also a mixed competition with 12 teams competing in 25+, 35+, 40+ and 45+ categories.

WA have 2 women’s teams in the 30+ category – Mighty Swans and We Dig It and a men’s team in the 35+ category – Southern Cross. A number of these players are also joining in on the fun in the mixed teams as well.

Our WA teams will also be hitting the beach with the men’s and women’s pairs starting on the 3rd, November with play continuing on the 4th with finals on the 5th. Mixed pairs will be played on Wednesday, 5th and Thursday, 6th November. Friday, 7th November will see the men’s and women’s fours, finishing with mixed fours on Saturday 8th November.
