Combes and Hand to lead WA’s Pearls in 2016

Volleyball WA is excited to formally have appointed Ingrid Hand as the Volleyball WA Pearls Assistant coach. Ingrid will be assisting Mandy Combes (current National Beach Volleyball Under 19’s Coach) to lead Western Australia’s Pearls in 2016 and regain AVL championship contender status.

Mandy and Ingrid bring a wealth of experience in both Beach volleyball and Indoor Volleyball to the role, including a number of national and state coaching appointments in their past. Mandy, a long standing PE teacher at MLC has a significant standing in the game and a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Now assisted by Ingrid, a professional Exercise Physiologist, also with an array of experience in the game, make a lethal combination as WA aims to regain the form of previous years at the AVL.

“Appointing both Mandy and Ingrid has been crucial to begin the work needed to bring WA’s talented female volleyballers back to real contenders for the AVL crown” – said Julian Middlemiss – Volleyball WA’s Participation and Development Manager.

Volleyball WA congratulates Mandy and Ingrid, as all are excited to see how the Pearls travel this year.
