Volleyball in WA has a new crop of Level 3 Coaches

Volleyball WA would like to thank Michael Nelson for flying in from SA to present the Level 3 Coaches Course here in WA something that has not been possible for a number of years due to COVID. Participants took the opportunity to soak up his experience and knowledge on the international stage to be taken back into the club environment.

Congratulations to all those who attended including representatives from:

  • ECU Volleyball Club
  • Reds Volleyball Club
  • The Hub Volleyball Club
  • Balcatta Volleyball Club
  • UWA Volleyball Club
  • Murdoch Volleyball Club
  • Fremantle Volleyball Club
  • And even one participant from the Northern Territory.

Participants also enjoyed presentations over the 3-day course from Jason Tutt, Athlete Wellbeing Manager for Volleyball Australia,  Damian Oldmeadow of Star Physio and Dean White & Corban Wroe from Diamond Fitness.

Volleyball WA would also like to thank our host venues Melville LeisureFit and ECU Mt Lawley – courtesy of ECU Volleyball Club. The beach component was held at the Volleyball WA facilities in West Perth.

Volleyball WA encourages all coaches in our community to consider what’s next for them in terms of education and accreditation. We promote all upcoming training opportunities on the Coaches and Referees Facebook Group Page, Volley Voice, and our website https://volleyballwa.com.au/category/education Remember the higher the qualification the higher rate of pay but also the greater the opportunity to coach at the State and higher levels.
